Yes, during summer sheep are running wild all over the country and you have to report an accident to the farmer. On the east side you might (very rarely) encounter reindeer. Of course there are birds and small animals like mice, fox and mink too.
Yes, all our camper vans and motorhomes is on studded tires during winter.
All our 2WD campers are not allowed on any F-roads. The VW California 4×4, Dacia Duster, Crosscamp Flex and the Toyota Hilux 4×4 however are excellent choose for those who want to explore the F-roads and the Highlands.
We highly recommend to choose the Platinum Insurance or the Premium insurance. The Platinum insurance comes with great package of extras and is the only insurance with self risk of ISK 0 in case of a damage.

The size is slightly wider than a double size but not as wide as a Queen size bed and an inch shorter than a Queen size bed. (140 x 200 cm). The Renault Trafic 3 has a slightly bigger bed and it’s 160×200 cm. The beds in our motor homes are the same size or bigger.
No, it’s very nice and toasty inside. You regulate how warm you want to have it inside.
Yes, always and that includes our motorhomes too.
Absolutely! We are very proud of our delicious water. Fill up your water bottles at any water tap you come along but do not drink the warm water. Read more: Ten don’t do in Iceland
More or less all villages in Iceland have grocery shops but they might not have the cheaper chain stores like Krónan & Bónus.

When you book on our webpage we don’t charge you anything until you pick up the vehicle. If you wish to pay when you book there is a option for that in the final booking process.
No. If a person’s credit card is being used on file, they must be a registered driver and must be present at pickup. Passengers are allowed to pay for the rental if they are present.

Well, all seasons we would say. Our campers and motor-homes are made for any weather but not all road conditions.
Winter has its charm but the weather can be unpredictable so one has to follow the weather reports closely and of course you need to be better prepared with clothing.
When winter looses it’s grip on Iceland and everything comes alive is a wonderful time to be here too but, like winter, one has to be prepared and the weather can differ drastically in the different areas in Iceland.
Summer with its eternal light is magnificent. During summer the weather is much more stable but there can be huge differences in temperature in the different parts of the country.
Fall has some of the fantastic scenerines in combination with stunning light and is a fantastic time to drive around Iceland but bring good rain clothes in case you’d get pounded by heavy rains.
Partially. You have to return all the boxes and kitchen & cooking utensils clean. You also need to return the camper with a full tank of diesel.
The Crosscamp Flex and Crosscamp Lux must be returned clean and all water/waste tanks must be empty.

Yes, all our camper vans and motorhomes are on studded tires during winter.

We recommend you use one of the many camping sites all around Iceland . You must camp in campsites but that is not a worry since there are at least 215 campsites all around the country.
We offer 2 insurance options. The Premium insurance with self risk of ISK 50.000 and Platinum Plus with self risk of ISK 0 plus a huge extra package included.

You’ll find us on the Keflavik airport area. An agent will pick you up at the airport, carrying a sign with the company logo. The agent shows up with around every ten, fifteen minutes.
If you cancel 24 hours or more prior pick up time you get 100% refund of what you have already paid.
Yes, most campers come with unlimited mileage so you are free to drive as much as you want.
Hybrid cars such as the Jeep Renegade and Jeep Wrangler, have a road tax of 500kr per day.
No your national driver’s license will do fine if it has latin characters. Just remember to bring it along.
A valid credit card and a valid driver’s license.
However, if you purchase insurance we do not need a credit card, Debit is accepted.
There is no age limit on renting a vehicle with Rent.is. A valid driving license is needed and a driver must have a minimum of 1 year experience. However, customers under the age of 20 years, must purchase a Premium insurance or Platinum Plus insurance when renting a vehicle.
In Keflavik we have a 24/7 service and you will be picked up by an agent at the airport who will drive you the short distance to where your camper is awaiting you.
