Packing tips for the tour to Iceland

Packing for a trip to Iceland can be tricky as you never know what kind of weather you will experience.  Here are few useful points to follow:

* Warm clothes - even in summer it is not "hot".

* Wet weather gear - or at least a water resistant jacket - it will keep the spray of waterfalls off you!

* Comfy shoes for all that walking you will do.

* I tried to buy some Cold & Flu tablets in Reykjavik....apparently they don't exist there, so stock up before you go.

* You will take many more photos than you predict - don't skimp on the films/flash cards/batteries.

* In summer the sun doesn't really set, so you may need your eye-mask for sleeping.

* Iceland is an expensive country - make sure there is plenty of room on your credit card - you can use it erywhere!

Packing is all common sense really, but easy to forget as soon as holiday fever grips and you start to frantically throw items into a bag. You're luggage may not weigh enough to pay excess baggage charges, but you'll enjoy the trips to and from the airport far more if you're travelling light. The key to packing properly is keep it simple and now with children in tow this is far more important than ever before. How many times have you unpacked on your return and realized the piles of clothes still pressed and unworn?
